User experience strategy driven UI recommendations for a hospitality giant

 

One of the fastest growing and the world’s third largest Indian hospitality chain was interested in rethinking their digital strategy for business owners who interact with their platform so as to reposition the brand image and create a better user experience with improved outcomes. The brief was to map the possible user experience to create a new strategy for their digital platform (business owners’ side) so that it will be more useful and relevant for business owners to view & manage hotel bookings, revenue, transactions etc. and also engage with the value -added services that the company provides.

 

HOW DID WE APPROACH IT?

We started off by understanding the client’s aim and agenda through a detailed walk-through of the current platform and the aspirations for the revised platform, brand image and long & short-term business interests. 

Based on this download session, our team spent time in ideating possible ways for achieving the aim by drafting multiple strategic anchor points and respective visual representations in the form of paper prototypes. These prototypes were tested with the core client team to prioritise one. The selected prototype was then sent to the client as a PoC to gain feedback from their customers. 

WHAT DID WE DELIVER?

Our team identified various strategic anchors points, features and user experience solutions which would help to make the digital experience relevant and contextual for the end-user.

These anchor points were then translated into quick wireframes and later detailed screens for the digital platform after multiple rounds of prototyping.

WHAT WAS THE IMAPCT?

We executed this work in a rapid sprint process where initial strategy was formulated so as to gain a dynamic perception of the brand for the end users. These strategies were then rapidly translated into 2 UI designs to select from. 

Some of the strategic anchors included achieving continuous customer engagement, offering bundled services, opportunities for multiple entry points for the customer to use the platform which was then translated into the UI design.
